The “Ballagh Bunch” had busy summers over the past 4 years competing successfully in many stepdance and fiddle contests across Ontario. They were also guests, along with their dancing mother and aunts (McMichael Sisters) at the Miami Fun and Fiddle Contest, in Miami Manitoba, October 2003. They performed as special guests at the 2005 and 2006 Newmarket Fiddle and Stepdance contest. They have most recently performed at the Drayton Festival Theatre during the month of August 2006 in the production “Sorry, I’m Canadian” with Neil Aitchison AND at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga, along with Neil and fiddle great Tyler Beckett in the North Metro Sweet Adelines Chorus Spring Show, 2007. The Ballagh Bunch were special guests at the KINSA gala event held at the Ontario Science Centre, Toronto in April of 2007. The group continues to perform at many fairs and fundraisers across Ontario.

The “Ballagh Bunch” live on a farm outside Teeswater, Ontario with Dad (Gary) and Mom (Janice). Gary is busy with after dinner speaking, who performed and made audiences laugh with his barbershop group “Here Comes Treble”. Janice is a stepdance instructor at her home studio and performed for many years with her sisters as Canada’s Stepdancing Sweethearts “The McMichael Sisters” (Tommy Hunter, shows in Nova Scotia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and New York). Together, with M.C. Gary on bass guitar, Jan on piano and dancing and Devan, Michael, Paige and Matthew on fiddles and stepdancing both group and solo and everyone playing an instrument.......it makes for a full show of toe-tapping music.

The summer of 2008 was extremely busy with 48 shows for Drayton Entertainment in "Sorry .....I'm Canadian" , 8 shows at the International Plowing Match, numerous fairs (Brigden, Erin, Bracebridge to list a few) , 2 shows at the CNE, 4 shows for Fiddle N Step in Wingham and many more.

Some of the highlights for 2009 included: Fiddle and Step Wingham, Govan Fiddle Contest Saskatchewan, Celtfest Naniamo BC, Mt Forest Fireworks Festival,  Teeswater Old Boys Reunion,  Canadian National Exhibition,  Bracebridge Fair, Ripley Fair, Elmvale Fair, St Thomas Barbershop Show, United Way Fundraiser, Trinity United Church Fundraiser Glenco. 2010 started off in a great way with a performance at Walt Disney World in Florida. They have a series of shows on the East coast this summer and a very busy fall fair schedule!
